On Kalbhushan Yadav’s death sentence

The news of death sentence awarded to Indian spy Kalbhushan Yadav has dominated electronic media. It hit newspaper headlines too. It was treated as the biggest story of the day by all the TV Channels and the talk show hosts and political analysts had a field day narrating their comments. I think they overplayed it. Indian naval officer Kalbhushan an agent of the “RAW” worked under the cover name of Hussain Mubarrak and was responsible for creating widespread violence and disruptive activities to destabilize the peace. He was arrested on March 3, 2016 along with other operatives in his network. He confessed before a magistrate under section 164 of Cr.PC of espionage and disruption in Karachi and Balochistan. He was tried in a military court and was provided free Counsel to defend him. He was tried, convicted and sentenced to death. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has ratified the decision. However, it is not known when the action on the sentence will be taken. Meanwhile, Modi government strongly reacted to the death sentence, but Pakistan emphatically rejected Indian protest over the sentence. The charges of espionage and spreading unrest were proven against him beyond any doubt whatsoever. A big decision has been taken by sentencing him to death. In order to quell all sorts of rumours and speculations we must execute him as soon as possible. India has threatened to go to any length regarding the fate of Kalbhushan. The decision is legally correct and binding. No country can allow such activities on its soil that have repercussions. Indian spy had an elaborate spying network. Many Pakistanis were also involved in this operation. I hope they all will face the same fate. Well done the military court.
