DG anti-corruption summons affectees
Lahore —Sessions judge has presented a report to Chief Justice of Lahore High Court over major land scam which has been exposed a couple of days ago.
A three-page report that was filed in the LHC stated that hearings of pending cases over bogus verdicts of courts would be held on daily basis and an inquiry would be completed within 15 days.
An inquiry of the scam would formally begin on Saturday while relevant persons could record their statements.
Moreover, the committee has decided to expand the scale of investigations. A couple of days earlier a private TV channel exposed a huge scam involving land grabbing using forged documents and fake orders of courts in Punjab.
The development came in over Chief Justice of LHC, Mansoor Ali Shah’s order to file a report over the issue.
Meanwhile, Director General of anti-corruption department Ghazanfar Ranjha has summoned affectees of the major land scam. The director general has summoned the affectees on Dec 5 at 10:00 am as probe of the scam is underway. The authorities have vowed to not spare the culprits involved in the scam.
