Journey of public service to continue: Shehbaz

Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that a lot of work has been done for energy projects during last three years under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Work is being carried out expeditiously round the clock on energy projects in the country and thousands of megawatt electricity will be added to national grid with the completion of energy projects during next two years.
He said the government is not only setting up energy projects from its own resources but power stations are also being established under CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) which will remove darkness.
The Federal and provincial governments have set bright examples of public service and journey of public service will continue.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-N. Shehbaz Sharif said that public welfare projects were limited only to files in the past whereas projects completed by PML-N government in the country are unprecedented. But, some political elements are out to stop development of the country and prosperity of the people for their vested interests, he added.
He said that these are the elements as caused a great loss to the country and the nation through politics of protest. He said those doing the politics of sit-ins should know that conscious people will not allow to create hurdles in the way of journey to progress and prosperity. He said that those who pushed the country into darkness in the past do not like Pakistan’s journey towards light and those who looted hard earned money of poor nation do not want welfare of deprived segments of the society. He said that those involved in loot and corruption during dictatorial era did not take practical steps for riding the people of problems.
He said that those getting their loans of billions of rupees waived off committed great cruelties to the nation and the country. He said that time has come to recover every looted penny of the nation from the looters and debtors. He said that the plunderers and defaulters will have to be brought to justice for development of the country and changing the lot of the poor people.
He said that nations do not develop only through slogans rather hard work has to be done for the development of the country. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the journey of steering the country out of darkness and bringing to light is being covered successfully.
He said that every effort will be made for completing the projects of progress and prosperity of the country. The Chief Minister said that Pakistan cannot afford protest and negative politics.
