The positive social impact of the Vision 2025, announced by the present government, on the society of Pakistan is that the ratio of poverty is declining and jobs opportunities are increasing.
This was stated by Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, Chairman, National Council of Social Welfare while addressing a seminar titled“The Social Impacts of Vision 2025 on future of Pakistan”.
Ishtiaque Gillani, Chief Executive officer United Global Organization of Development was the chief guest.
In his presidential address, Dr. Nadeem said that Pakistan Vision 2025 seeks a just and equitable society in Pakistan where vulnerable and marginalized segments of the society would be mainstreamed. “To achieve its goals all the state institutions are working effectively,” he said and added “For eradication of socio-economic problems, the government has formulated commendable policies.” Dr Nadeem said, “In order to achieve the goal of progress of Pakistan, under Vision 2025, we have to be united. Our youth is our asset and God has blessed Pakistan with countless resources.
Soon the condition of education, health and the basic needs of life will improve and Pakistan will become a developed state.” Besides other speakers Ms. Mahwish Anjum, Representative of Social Welfare Section, Planning Commission Ministry of Planning Development and Reforms; Ishtiaque Gillani, Chief Executive officer United Global Organization of Development, Mohammad Sajid Hameed, Director Council and Ms. Sadia Hussain, Executive Director SPARC said in their lectures that Vision 2025 is a road map for the economic and social development of Pakistan.
They said the strategic location and economic opportunities has made Pakistan a hub of world economic activities.
