JKSPF concerned over HR abuses

Jammu—In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, a constituent of Syed Ali Gilani-led All Parties Hurriyet Conference, has expressed concern over human right violations, custodial killings and fake encounters in the territory.
The JKSPF Chairman, Devinder Singh, addressing a gathering in Jammu asked the people to play their role in preventing coming generations from consuming drugs and indulging in any type of abusive activities. Youth and students should be informed about the problems faced by the Kashmir people, he added.
He condemned the suspension of Kashmiri students’ enrolment in Rajasthan’s Mewar University by the university administration. “Some elements want to disturb the communal harmony and brotherhood in Kashmir for their political benefits,” he added.
“BJP and RSS are communal parties and they always dominate Dalits and trample their human rights,” he further said.
Those who were present in the gathering included Ram Lal Bhagat, Surjeet Kumar Bhagat, Prem Dass, Jasbir Singh, Arif Chowdhary, Kasnail Singh, Som Dass, Showkat Chaudhry and Kuldeep Singh.—KMS
