JKLF leader suffers heart attack during police raid

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader, Javed Ahmad Zargar, has suffered a heart attack during a raid by Indian police on his residence in Srinagar.
The JKLF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian policemen in civvies raided the residence of Javed Zargar at Chanapora in Srinagar. He said that after entering the residence, the police party started a rigorous search.
He said that the policemen mentally and emotionally tortured Javed Zargar and he felt severe pain in his chest. “He complained of the same but police remained unmoved and continued vandalizing his households.
His wife and small kid with the help of his cousin, who was luckily there, immediately rushed him to Florence hospital where doctors declared him critical and advised him to be shifted quickly to SMHS hospital. Javed Zargar reached the SMHS hospital in time and with the help of doctors and other medical staff escaped death,” he said.
Meanwhile, the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the police raid on Javed Zargar’s residence.
He said that the puppet rulers and their police and civil administration had actually crossed every limit of shame and callousness and for proving themselves more loyal than the king, had been trampling all human values and civilized human behaviours.
On the instructions of Syed Ali Gilani, a delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir comprising Raja Merajuddin, Syed Imtiyaz Haider, Umar Aadil Dar and Rameez Raja visited SMHS hospital in Srinagar and enquired about the health of Javed Ahmad Zargar.—KMS
