In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has strongly condemned the arrest of party leader, Zahoor Ahmad Butt in Srinagar and termed it as frustration of the authorities.
Police last night raided the residence of JKLF leader, Zahoor Ahmad Butt at Hawal in Srinagar and arrested him. He was shifted to Nowhata police station where he is still lodged.
It said that police harassment of political activists and leaders are continuing unabated which is highly regrettable. He also condemned the prolonged illegal detention of its central organizer Sirajuddin Mir and district president of Baramullah, Abdul Rashid Magloo who from last five months are at Kotbalwal Jail under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA):
The JKLF said police authorities with the active help of civil administration are trying every tactic to prolong their detention.—KMS
