JI distributes Eid gifts among 1700 needy people

Karachi—amaat-e-Islami (JI), Karachi chief Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that we should help needy people around us as this is our religious and social responsibility. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held by a Nazimabad chapter of JI in collaboration with Al-Khidmat to distribute Eid clothes among 1,700 needy individuals.
It is pertinent to mention here that tokens were already provided to the individuals who later received their gifts from various stalls, erected at a gala type ceremony. Play area for children was also established at the ceremony where they enjoyed swings and other amusements.
peaking on the occasion, the JI leader said that some 40 percent populace of the country is being compelled to live under the line of poverty.
e said that it would be necessary to pressurize the ruling elite and hold corrupt persons accountable for their deeds, if we want to change the prevailing system in the country.
The JI leader was of the view that the entire society is visibly divided into two classes one that plunders and make off shore companies and the second who compromises their necessities to share happiness with their fellow countrymen.
On the occasion Wajih Hassan, a local JI leader announced to double the number of gifts from the next year.—NP
