Jalibi’s books academic gift to KU

Karachi—Vice Chancellor of Karachi University (KU),Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser have termed the books of Dr. Jamil Jalibi’s library as a great gift for the University.
An official of the institution said on Monday that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed for establishing Dr. Jamil Jalibi Research Library at the University of Karachi.
The MoU was inked by the Vice Chancellor and Dr. Khawar Jamil, chairman of the Export Processing Zone. Dr. Khawar is the son of Dr. Jamil Jalibi, who himself had served as the Vice Chancellor of Karachi University. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser said that this is a great academic gift to Karachi University from Dr. Jamil Jalibi as it includes 100,000 books and historical academic manuscripts.
He hoped that this library would increase the intellectual and research level of the students of the varsity.
Dr. Khawar Jamil said that this is a moment of great pleasure for me to establish this library in KU on the wish of my father Dr. Jamil Jalibi.
He further added that this library would have a modern and state of the art infrastructure and a resource center as well. It will meet all the needs of the modern day research.—APP
