Jalalpur Irrigation Project to benefit ex-servicemen farmers

A meeting of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society’s Central Working Committee, held at PESS head office here, and chaired by Gen Javed Aslam Tahir, was apprised about the extensive lobbying efforts of PESS for members, ex-servicemen farmers who are living in Pind Dadan Khan, Chakwal and Khushab districts water starved belt.
The PESS office-bearers had written/talked to various segments of Pakistani and Chinese Government in Islamabad due to which ex-servicemen and civilian farmers of these areas will now benefit from the Jalalpur Irrigation Project announced by Government of Pakistan as China-Pakistan Economic Corridor sponsored project.
The situation arising out of Gen Pervez Musharraf’s verdict and support extended to the ex-Army Chief by Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society was discussed in detail.
