Dr Abid Shahzad, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur presented his research paper titled’ ‘A study of teaching styles adopted by novice teachers at teacher education institutions in Pakistan’ at the International Teacher Education Conference held at Harvard University USA.
Researchers and delegates from more than 35 countries participated and presented their research papers in the conference. The conference provided a chance to the academia round the globe to come and share their ideas and research in progress in their respective countries at the world famous Harvard University forum.
Dr. Abid Shahzad presented his research findings that the novice teachers in Pakistan teacher education’s settings are gradually moving to adopt the constructive teaching styles but there a lot to do to keep pace with the changing teaching approaches in the developed countries.
Teacher educators are needed to be trained with the latest teaching styles in practice in other parts of the developed world. Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) provided the travel grant for this conference.
