Italian delegation to visit Lahore on Dec 7

Lahore—An Italian delegation will visit Lahore on December 7 with representatives of almost 80 Italian companies from different sectors. Six Italian business associations would also be part of the delegation, said Italy’s Deputy Trade Commissioner A R Daudpota on Friday. He was talking to LCCI President Abdul Basit here at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The trade commissioner said that the delegation would visit Pakistan to explore opportunities for trade & investment.
Italy’s main industries are: tourism, machinery, iron & steel, chemicals, food processing, textiles, motor vehicles, clothing, footwear and ceramics. He said that joint ventures between the private sectors of the two countries could help enhance mutual trade volume. The LCCI president said that Italy is an important trade partner of Pakistan in Europe which stand at 5th and 3rd places, respectively among the top exporting.—APP
