Islamabad—The officials of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and Capital police have decided to further tighten the security in sector F-8 and also around the lower courts especially for lawyers, judges and those visiting there.
“With a purpose to fully secure this area in an aftermath of blast at Mardan and overcome the security loopholes, it has been decided to make elaborate arrangements at all important places,” the sources told media here on Sunday.
The police source said that different available resources are being utilized for the purpose and a boundary wall has been erected around Kutchery besides installing walk through gates at entry points while more than 150 policemen personnel have been assigned security duties there.
He said that six police pickets have been erected in the vicinity of Kutchery while rapid response force continuously patrol there.
He said that SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has directed to further enhance security measures there.
The source said that security to lawyers is at top priority of Islamabad police and elaborate arrangements have been made for the purpose. He said that visitors come in Kutchery in abundance from morning to evening on daily basis and despite several constraints, efforts are being made for effective security there.
He said that on foot patrolling of Rangers personnel will be started in Kutchery limits and high alertness would be made there.
The sources said that security cameras have been installed while high vigilance is being maintained against the suspects. He said that vehicles in parking lots remain under constant monitoring and rapid response force patrol on continuous basis whose response time is only three minutes.
In addition the source said that security around hospitals has been also enhanced and every vehicle would be allowed to enter into hospitals’ premises after thorough checking. He said more cameras would be installed at entry and exit points of hospitals while steps would be discussed with administration of hospitals for effective security arrangements.
He said that SSP Sajid Kiani and other police officials would conduct surprise visit of important places in the Capital to review security arrangements there.
