Islahuddin lauds PM’s timely reward for Pakistan Whites

Karachi—Former Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui has applauded the gesture of Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif to announce a timely reward for the Pakistan Whites hockey team for retaining the gold at the 12th South Asian Games on the Indian soil recently.
“The hockey heroes deserve a pat on their back and the incentive is likely to go a long way in raising their morale,” Islah, who acted as chef-de-mission at the SA Games, said.
It is pertinent to mention that Inter-provincial Coordination (IPC) secretary Mohammad Ali Gardezi was appointed chef-de-mission but as he could not proceed to India, deputy chef-de-mission Islahuddin played the main role.—Agencies
