IRSA to supply water to provinces as per their demand

The Indus River System Authority says all the provinces will be getting water according to their demand from Friday.
A decision to this effect was taken during a meeting of the Indus River System Authority held in Islamabad on Friday. Representatives from all the four provinces participated in the meeting.
Given to the meeting, total available 67 million acre feet water will be distributed among provinces. It said shortage of water in Khareef will be 18 percent. Sindh will provide water till 5th of the next month to help overcome water scarcity in Balochistan. Punjab was also been allowed to open Panjnad and Tremu canals on Friday, while it will also start receiving water from Chashma canal from today.—INP
