Iran expresses concern over Raheel’s appointment as head of Saudi-led military alliance


Iran has expressed its reservations in regards to the arrangement of the previous armed force boss, retired Gen Raheel Sharif, as leader of the Saudi-drove 39-country Islamic military organization together, saying it is not ‘satisfied’ with the coalition.

“We are concerned about this issue… that it may impact the unity of Islamic countries,” Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost said.
