IPA Houses to be set up across country including Karachi: Maqsood

Karachi—Vice Chairman of International Police Association (IPA) Sindh Chapter, Maqsood Ahmed said that IPA Houses will be set up across the country including metropolis city of Karachi to facilitate police officers including retired officials.
Addressing a meeting in connection with membership of IPA held at Special Security Unit (SSU) Headquarters, Maqsood Ahmed asked the police officers to obtain membership of the Association.
He said that terrorists and criminals are using different modus operandi, therefore in order to counter them effectively awareness about modern development in police profession is very important.
The Vice Chairman IPA underlined the need for acquiring awareness about latest development in policing and laws internationally, so that police officers could effectively challenge the anti-social elements.
Awareness of latest professional skills can play an effective role to maintain law and order and tranquillity, he added. Maqsood Ahmed said that membership of IPA can play an important role for meeting with police officers abroad as well as having professional development in other countries.
He said that IPA is also offering scholarships to its members so that they could acquire the latest knowledge about the professional development abroad.—INP
