Int’l Women Handball Championship starts today

Faisalabad—A four-day International Women Handball Championship will commence at University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) here on March 27 (Sunday).
A spokesman for the UAF said here on Saturday that five international handball teams, including Maldives, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and India, will participate in the championship.
He said opening match would be played between Uzbekistan and Maldives at 3:45 pm at Handball Ground of UAF on Sunday followed by another match between Pakistan and Nepal at 5:15 pm whereas a cultural show will be kicked off at 6:45 pm at the same venue.
On March 28, a match between Pakistan and India will be played at 9:30 am whereas Uzbekistan and Nepal will be played at 3:30 pm and Maldives will fight against India at 5:00 pm.
On March 29, a match between Nepal and India will be played at 9:30 am while Uzbekistan would fight against Pakistan at 3:30 pm and Maldives against Nepal at 5:00 pm. On March 30, India will fight against Uzbekistan at 2:45 pm and Pakistan against Maldives at 4:15 pm. The medal ceremony will be held at 5:45 pm on March 30.—APP
