Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that international donor agencies were playing a vital role in enhancing facilities in many sectors especially in health and education in the province.
“We the people of Sindh do appreciate their services and looking forward for more cooperation in this regard,” he said while talking to a UKaid delegation here in his Sindh Assembly Building office, said a statement issued here on Thursday.
Edward Davis Senior Education Advisor / Team Leader Education Policy UKaid, Grace Louise Wood and District Education Officer Central Tehseen Fatima were also present on this occasion.
The members of the delegation informed the Minister about on going education projects under UKaid in Sindh and discussed future projects to be launched by UKaid in the province.
Jam appreciated their services for the people of Sindh and expressed the hope that UKaid will continue its efforts for promotion of education in Sindh. Adding that the Sindh government was fully committed to achieving 100 percent literacy rate in the province and needed cooperation of international donor agencies and NOGs as well.
He also briefed the delegation about the measures taken by Sindh Education Department to improve educational facilities in the province.
