Each year 5th September is observed as International Day of Charity, which promotes charitable efforts made to help and support the people. This is UN day, and people hold educational events and fund-raising activities on this day. Social media is source to promote the day with online news, radios, TV and many more. According to a research, each country is suffering from poverty in respect of economic, social and cultural situation, mostly developing countries.
Due to this UN has called upon the countries to contribute toward the efforts of charitable organization and individuals to cope with poverty problems. In December 2012, the UN decided to hold 5th September as International Day of Charity, and it was celebrated for the first time as such in 2013. International Day of Charity helps to raise awareness of what charities do to minimize poverty worldwide.
