Inter-relgious harmony need of hour—Maulana Azad

Karachi—Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Khatib Badshahi Masjid Lahore and Chairman Ulema Conference Pakistan has said that Islam is a religion of peace and gives message of harmony, brotherhood and love for humanity.
Speaking at the Inter-religion Council for Peace and Harmony Pakistan Maulana Azad said that the world has become a global village which calls for inter-religious harmony among different communities living in Pakistan to create a constructive spirit bringing stability and peace in the country.
It was really an impressive and heart-touching view at the meeting where representatives of different religious communities including Christians, Hindus, Sikhs and other sects of Muslim community expressed their views for promoting inter-religious understanding in Pakistan.
They were sitting together and were of the consensus that they should create inter-religious harmony and culture among by honouring the point of view of different religions and communities to create a real national spirit.
The meeting was attended among others by Senator Kamran Michael, Dr. Marylin Hickey (Christian Minister), Bishop Joseph Coutts (Archbishop of Karachi), Sardar Yasin Malik (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), Anwar Fazal (Christian Leader), Mumtaz, Sardar Ramesh Singh (Sikh leader), Gosawami Vijay Maharaj, Mufti Abu Hurairah, Maulana Qari Allahdad, Qazi Fayaz Naqvi, Maulana Ferozuddin Rehmani, Dr. Zafarullah Jan and Mohtarma Farzana.
