Institute of Cardiology treats 112,658 outdoor patients

Lahore—The Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) provided health facilities to 112,658 patients in outdoor as well as 70,709 patients were provided emergency treatment in the emergency ward during the last six months. PIC Chief Executive Prof Nadeem Hayat Malik talking to APP said that the that apart from Punjab, a lot of patients come from other provinces for treatment at PIC and, despite limited resources, the Institute did not deprive any patient of treatment facilities.
He said that the PIC was handling huge patient load which could be managed by evolving a better referral system. He said that the PIC was providing the best medical treatment facilities to patients according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.—APP
