Indus river continues to flow in low flood

Islamabad—The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that River Indus is flowing at in Low Flood at Chashma and Guddu Barrage.
According to daily FFC report on Sunday other main rivers including Rivers Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal. The river flows and reservoir elevations indicates that Tarbela & Mangla reservoirs are at elevations of 1535.65 feet and 1241.25 feet respectively, which are 14.35 feet & 0.75 feet below their respective Maximum Conservation Levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet.
The combined live storage capacity of Tarbela, Chashma & Mangla reservoirs is 13.069 MAF as compared to last year’s 13.680 MAF.
The Dam Management Authorities are advised to take utmost care and vigilance in operation and strictly follow SOPs and safety guidelines.—APP
