Dr Muhammad Khan
Sequel to a very realistic and balanced speech of Pakistani Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in UN General Assembly on September 21 2017, the Indian leadership, its officials and media have started an organised campaign to defame Pakistan and to controvert the contents of his speech. Whereas, Pakistani Premier highlighted the regional and global issues at UNGA for the attention of international community, seeking its assistance for bringing a durable peace and an amicable resolution to these issues, the Indian side tried to disrupt that through a propaganda campaign. Countering the Speech of Prime Minister Abbasi mean, India does not want peace at the regional level in South Asia and would like to continue with the regional instability, adding many more issues out of the prevailing ones and adding more miseries for the 1/5th of global population, residing in this region.
The international leadership at UNGA was shocked over the speeches of Indian External Affairs Minister, Ms Sushma Swaraj and Ms Eenam Gambhir, the First Secretary in the Permanent Mission of India to the UN. These speeches were nothing else, but an attempt to counter the genuine assessment of the situation made in the speech of Pakistani Prime Minister. In fact, the speech of Pakistani Premier set the agenda for the regional peace and India should have further built on it by giving a suggested mechanism to strengthen these peace efforts. Unfortunately, the immediate and subsequent Indian response has set a wrong precedence. It was a deliberate strategy of discrediting the Pakistani efforts against terrorism, which has been promoted by the spying networks of India and Afghanistan directly, and US and many others indirectly.
Following the speech of Prime Minister Abbasi, the immediate official response was from Ms Eenam Gambhir, who tried to mislead the congregation of the international community, by saying that, Pakistan is sponsoring the terrorism and that, terrorists are freely roaming in that country. She also tried to mislead the UNGA that, people like Hafiz Saeed are being mainstreamed through political activities. She however, forgot to tell the eminent gathering that, BJP is the political face of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and who does not know the agenda of this terror’s network. The sole objective of this terrorist network (RSS) is to bring India into the fold of Hindutva, ‘India is the land of Hindus and others have no place in this country. Under this ideology, all those living in India either haveto convert into Hinduism or leave India, which itself is violation of basic human rights.
It is worth mentioning that, “The BJP’s origins lie in the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, formed in 1951by Syama Prasad Mookerjee, whereas, RSS was founded in 1925, with the sole objective of Hindutva and Hindu nationalism. This clearly shows that, BJP originated from RSS to give it a political face, since it was twice banned by British Government prior to 1947 and later by the Congress Party, after independence. Being an active member of the RSS, Prime Minister Narindra Modi have adopted all policies, which were are anti-secularism and pro Hindutva and he was the mastermind of Gujarat massacre-2002. Should international community, Muslims and United State forget the worst human massacre of 2002 in Indian state of Gujarat, once a ban was imposed over the travel of Modi and US did it first? The provocative speeches of Indian 1st Secretary and External Affairs Minister mean nothing except misleading the world and veiling its worst human rights record against all minorities.
At the time of the speech of Indian External Affairs Minister, most of the participants of the session had the hall and those present laughed at the contents of her speech. Since India ‘produced scholars, doctors, and engineers’ as said by Ms. Swaraj, who has demolished the Babri Mosque, who killed millions of Sikh, Muslims and Christians in India. Who is running terrorists networks in India and all neighbouring countries against Pakistan. Wasn’t, KulbashanJadhav son of India? Ms Swaraj is on record saying in LokSaba that, Jadhav is son of India, “Hindustan ka beta”. Was he on a peace mission to Pakistan, once arrested in 2016? The reality is, “India is mother of all terrorism in South Asia” as described by Ms. Maleeha Lodhi, the permanent representative of Pakistan at UN. She was in fact replying the misleading speech of Ms Sushma Swaraj and Indian 1st Secretary.
Indeed, Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has commendably presented the Pakistani view point on all regional and global issues during 72nd annual session of United Nations General Assembly Session. The Premier eloquently highlighted the Kashmir issue to the total satisfaction of people of Jammu and Kashmir. Today India is unleashing a reign of terror on the innocent people of Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK) by making use of pellet guns and other prohibited weapons. He also reminded the international community to fulfil their obligations for the just resolution of Kashmir issues as per UN resolutions and according to the wishes of Kashmiris masses besides, appointment of a special UN representative on Kashmir.
Pakistan considers Afghan led solution of the Afghan predicaments, which could not be resolved militarily. A reconciliation process and political engagement with Taliban and other Afghan factions will be the best way forward. However, Pakistan would like that all terrorist’s hideouts on Afghan soil, being used against Pakistan by TTP and other terrorists groups should be closed forthwith. Indeed, the unresolved nature of Afghanistan has added the number of terrorists’ organization on Afghan soil, now operating against both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is much appreciated for his clear message to India that, “Pakistan has acted with restraint. But if India does venture across the LoC, or acts upon its doctrine of limited war against Pakistan, it will evoke a strong and matching response.” This message is indeed, the voice of Pakistani nation.
