Indian spy owns attempts to destabilize Pak, CPEC


Seven-minute video of confessional statement released by ISPR; Indian involvement established

Islamabad—RAW Agent Kulbushan Jhadev, recently arrested from Balochistan, has confessed that he was on a mission to destabilize Pakistan, create unrest in Balochistan and sabotage Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
His confession, recorded in a seven-minute long video, was played during a joint press conference by Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa, Director-General, ISPR at PID in Islamabad on Tuesday.
““Your Monkey with us” is the code word of Yadav”, said Bajwa, further adding that different maps and foreign currency was also discovered from him at the time of his arrest.
Yadav said in vedio that “I supported the individuals who worked to destabilise Pakistan” he said. Yadav also confessed funding Baloch separatists along with other terrorists.
In the video statement, the Indian intelligence operative acknowledged that he was a serving Indian Navy officer working for RAW. He also confessed to have sponsored many terrorist and subversive activities, links with Baloch separatists and future plans. The RAW agent said he was directly handled by Indian National Security Advisor, RAW Chief and a Joint Secretary of RAW.
DG ISPR stated that the apprehended spy is aware of the funding made regarding the carried out on the Mehran Base and that Yadav also tried to form a ‘Tiger force’ in Karachi which aimed towards spreading sectarianism in the city.
They described arrest of a senior level officer of Indian Navy working as RAW agent as a major achievement and said it seldom happens in the world that such senior level serving officers are caught red handed as foreign spies.
His arrest establishes Indian interference in Pakistan especially in Balochistan and Karachi, said Lt. General Asim Salim Bajwa. “The time of arrest, Indian, American and Pakistani currency was recovered from the Indian agent besides maps of Pakistan and Balochistan” said Bajwa.
DG ISPR said during de-briefing, Kulbhushan Yadav has confessed that his task included networking of intelligence operatives, funding, ply of weapons and human smuggling and training.
Yadav also confessed his role in Gwadar blast involving Chinese nationals, terrorist attack on Mehran Air Base, assassination of SSP Karachi Ch. Aslam, setting up of a sectarian tiger force in Karachi, networking of Balochistan nationalists, and subversive activities in the province, Bajwa said.
He said, during interrogation, RAW agent also confessed that Gwadar was his major target as part of the plan to disrupt the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Yadev said he was also planning to infiltrate 30 to 40 trained agents of RAW for reviving Baloch nationalist movement and undermine the CPEC.
Lt. General Asim Bajwa said Kulbhushan Yadev was based at Iranian port city of Chahbahar where he had jewellery business as a cover. He also visited Pakistan as scrap dealer.
Replying a question, Lieutenant General Bajwa also confirmed the discussion that took place with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani during his recent visit to Pakistan regarding RAW, adding that “the involvement of the Iranian government or agency in this regards was never brought up”. However he said that “to permit the land of a neighboring country to conduct activities against Pakistan should never be allowed.
The issue of Indian interference would be raised at all available regional and international forums . He said the international community would be requested to support Pakistan in overcoming the challenge of terrorism, Bajwa said in a reply .
Replying to a query, Asim Bajwa said that there are sleeper cells of terrorists across the country and all of them would be targeted by employing appropriate force including police, Rangers and Pakistan Army.
