Indian envoy summoned over Pak HC denial

World T20 permission

Staff Reporter

Islamabad—Pakistan’s Foreign Office Wednesday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner to lodge protest over Indian government’s refusal to grant permission to its diplomatic staffers to travel to Kolkata to watch a high voltage World Cup T20 encounter.
India, Tuesday, did not give travel permission to Pakistani diplomats to watch the T20 game between the neighbouring countries in Kolkata on March 19. Pakistan conveyed to Deputy High Commissioner J P Singh that denial of travel permission is “unfortunate”, declaring the decision as “a violation of diplomatic norms”.
