India withdraws children of diplomatic staff in Pakistan

Islamabad—Declaring Pakistan a ‘no school-going mission’, India asked staff at its Indian high commission to either return or send their children enrolled at Islamabad schools back to their homeland. More than 60 schoolchildren of Indian diplomatic staff will not resume their classes from next quarter in Pakistan, reports said.
Hindustan Times quoted a source saying India had been considering the move ever since Taliban gunmen broke into a school in Peshawar in 2014 and opened fire, killing 132 students and nine staff.— NNI
