In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir has said that the Indian government is crushing the Kashmiris’ peaceful indigenous liberation movement through military might.
Javaid Ahmad Mir addressing a condolence meeting in Srinagar reminded the Indian Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley that the Britain and other international powers had created the Kashmir dispute and the people of Kashmir had been rendering unprecedented sacrifices for securing their right to self-determination.
Javaid Ahmad Mir said that Kashmir was an internationally-recognized dispute and had been pending with the United Nations for last seven decades. He appealed to the United Nations and the world community to take notice of the Indian brutalities in the occupied territory and play role in peaceful settlement of the lingering dispute.
Meanwhile, the spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) in a statement in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to Aadil Ahmed Chopan and other Kashmiri youth, who were recently martyred by Indian troops. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri people would not be allowed go waste and the liberation movement would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.—KMS
