Islamabad—Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary on Wednesday announced to inaugurate the new building of ‘College of Home Economics’ soon to facilitate the students. Addressing the first convocation and prize distribution ceremony of Home Economics College for Women F-7/2, he said, “We are working very hard for the completion of the project of the College of Home Economics and it will be completed soon.”
The minister also assured the staff of the college to resolve the issues of shortage of teaching staff and inadequate transportation facility. The minister appreciated the students for their hard work and dedication toward their relevant fields and advised them to utilize their degrees in practical field.
The minister also visited the exhibition by the students of the college displaying different stalls carrying innovative items. He congratulated the students and teachers for organizing the most exquisite exhibition showcasing the innovative work, saying “This exhibition was the result of the dedicated efforts of students, teachers and parents”.
The minister conferred degrees on sixty-nine graduates and nine post graduates while thirty one graduates received the role of honor for their outstanding performance in BS Honors and MSc Home Economics, Textile and Clothing. Students also received prizes on their achievements in academic and co-curricular activities. Principal of the college, Professor Samar Zaffar presented the college report.
