Lahore will host the inaugural edition of the National Women Kabaddi Championship from December 14-16 at Wapda Sports Complex.
“Leading teams of the country will display their talent and technique in the event, “ said Muhammad Sarwar, Secretary, Pakistan Kabaddi Federation while talking to APP here on Friday.
He said the four day premier Kabaddi activity is being organised jointly by PKF and Wapda Sports Board.
“This event is a step forward for the promotion of Kabaddi among women and an organised effort to determine the future of the female Kabaddi in the country,” he added.
Sarwar said PKF was taking all out measures for the overall development of Kabaddi across the country and solid efforts are being made by organizing Kabaddi events at all levels. “We anticipate thrilling competition in the women championship and its most outstanding players will shortlisted for undergoing camp training for the building of the team to feature in the international women kabaddi events in due course of time,” said PKF Secretary.—APP
