Opposition must have one platform, unanimous agenda
Islamabad—Opposition political parties have expressed their dismay over the decision of Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan to launch countrywide movement against corruption from August 7 in the background of Panama Leaks. Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah in his reaction on Thursday said the decision by the PTI Chairman without consulting the opposition parties will dent opposition unity. He said the PTI did not take the opposition into confidence over the launching of country wide movement. He said the solo flight of PTI will benefit the government.
Leaders of other opposition parties who have been part of the negotiations for TORs for the investigation of Panama Leaks have also expressed their resentment saying that their parties cannot be taken for granted. They said that the opposition parties would hold top level meetings to decide about future course of action.

Senator Sirajul Haq invited Ch Shujaat Hussain for participation in All Parties Conference (APC) On Kashmir issue to be held on July 27 which he accepted. Since all opposition parties will be present in the conference as such after the Kashmir issue, appointment of Election Commission members and Terms of Reference (ToRs) for Pa-nama Leaks probe commission issues will also be discussed.
Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that all opposition parties must have one platform and unanimous agenda. They said that such parties which are really opposition parties should come forward, if opposition is not united and unanimous on one agenda and platform then it will not be able to achieve desired results as such the opposition should decide about future line of action together, likewise if honest and impartial personalities are not included in the Election Commission then there will be no guarantee about next election to be fair and transparent.—Agencies
