Islamabad—The road construction projects announced by Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif during visit of Kotli Sattian tehsil in Rawalpindi District were discussed in a meeting of Highway officials held in the committee room of Solid Waste Management Company, Rawalpindi. The meeting was chaired by Raja Ishfaq Sarwar Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower.
Parliamentary Secretary Cabinet and Establishment Division Raja Javed Iklas, President PML (N) Metropolitan Sardar Muhammad Naseem Khan, Raja Muhammad Hanif MPA, MD, Solid Waste Management Company Irfan Qureshi, Secretary Mudassar Chaudhry, SE, Highways Ansar Mehmood, XEN Riaz Hussain Shah and Ghulam Hussain attended the meeting.
Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that in order to mitigate the transportation difficulties of local people as well commuters of Azad Kashmir, the Prime Minister during his public address at Kotli Sattian announced construction of four import link roads including Lower Topa Kohala, Chirah Chowk Kotli
Sattian, Chira Chowk via Bun Karor and Kotli Sattian Gulehra Gali via Bun Roads. He asked Engineers ofProvincial Highway Departmentto complete all the required formalities for allocation of funds so that the work on these roads could be started without any delay. The engineers brief about the progress and said that preliminary work is in progress.
The Punjab Minister said that people of the area are highly indebted to the Prime Minister and anxiously waiting for start of the work on the road construction projects. He said on the occasion that present elected government is committed to resolve the civic problems of people and in order to address the problems being faced by the masses; Prime Minister of Pakistan is visiting different far flung areas of the country. He said under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Muhmmad Shahbaz Sharif, Provincial Government is also committed to serve the people by bringing basic facilities of life at their door steps.
Raja Ashfaq Sarwar condemned the nefarious designs of those elements who want to sabotage the pace of progress in the country with their negative politics. He said government would foil these negative tactics and would ensure timely completion of development projects to facilitate the people.
