Imam-e-Ka’aba lauds Pakistan role in defending sacred places


Sheikh Saleh says seminaries across world are source of peace

Calling upon the Muslim Ummah to forge unity in its ranks the Imam-e-Ka’ba Sheikh Saleh bin Muhammad Ibrahim on Sunday said the entire Muslim world was looking towards Pakistan in these trying times.
He, however, declared in clear tone that seminaries were by no mean the source of terrorism as propagated by the West but have always been promoting peace and Harmony and preaching people to stay away from the terrorism.
“Madaaris all over the world are a source of peace as Islam is a religion of peace and the Muslim community must stand united in the trying times”. Imam-e-Ka’aba announced while delivering sermon on the concluding session of the three days centenary celebrations held under the auspices of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam JUI-F at Azakhel some 30 kilometers from here.
The grand convention that was kicked off on Friday, it may be recalled, was also addressed by the Saudi religious affairs minister Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh and being participated by the top religious scholars from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Middle East and other countries and would last for three days. Besides, top political leadership of the country including chairman Senate and leader of the opposition Khursheed Shah also participated and addressed the devotees on the second day of the convention.
Sheikh Saleh bin Muhammad Ibrahim Imam-e-aKa’ba condemned terrorism and lamented that some people wanted to spread terror by using their own interpretations. He urged the Muslims worldwide to unite against terrorism. “We condemn this; terrorism paralyses entire societies and economies”. Imam-e-Ka’aba maintained and vowed to fortify the Muslim Ummah.
Declaring Pakistan the most trusted brotherly country, Imam-e-Ka’aba Sheikh Saleh bin Muhammad Ibrahim acknowledged Pakistan’s role in defending the sanctity of Harmain Shareefain and other sacred places. “We are grateful to the Pakistani public and government for their unflinching stance on protection of Harmain Shareefain,” the Imam said, adding that the entire Muslim Ummah has hopes attached to Pakistan.
He said this gathering has sent out a message of peace and unity to all humanity.” It has spread the message of the Holy Quran to hold fast to Allah and stay united by avoiding divisiveness”. The prayer leader of grand mosque of Makkah al-Mukarrama added. Special prayers were also offered for the Pakistan as well as the oppressed people of Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion the host and chief of his own faction of JUI Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman came hard on the United Nations, which he said had mercilessly failed to deliver adding that the World body did not come to the rescue of the oppressed people and ensure justice in the world.
He also observed that decisions should not be imposed on the people of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, like the Frontier Crimes Regulations was thrust upon them “If decisions are forced upon the tribes from Islamabad then what will be the difference between us and the colonizers he requested.” “Whatever is planned should be implemented with the consent of the people of FATA,” he emphasized.
The JUI-F leader said peaceful negotiations should be held to resolve matters. “We want to see Pakistan prosper as a free country. “This is the reason why we welcome the friendship with China as well as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”. He asked political leadership of the country to “mend its ways” adding dubbing each other thief and corrupt was not a decent politics.
