Organ trade is one of the burning issues in Pakistan which is taking place in broad daylight. The most affected areas are Punjab including Rawalpindi and Lahore where the citizens have sold their kidneys and now they have paved another business of selling the liver as well.
According to a researched report, in 2016, 11 cases of illegal transplants have been reported in the country. Estimations show, the people are trafficked to foreign countries for the purpose but they eventually died due to complicated procedure. People from different countries come to Pakistan for buying kidney and liver. They pay 4 to 10 million rupees to the sellers. This is mainly due to the increasing poverty. I request the government to take action against the illegal organ transplant in Pakistan.
