dera ghazi khan—Tall claim of district administration has failed to eliminate illegal cattle sale points of sacrificial animals in different parts of city, complained local residents. DCO DG Khan Nadeem ur Rehman made a tall claim with harsh words in a meeting that sacrificial animals would be allowed to sale at only five sale points namely cattle market near Daewoo Bus Terminal DG Khan, Kot chutta, Pull Qamber, Jat Wala and Quetta road in district, and district government will provide basic facilities like vehicles parking, security, cold water, and livestock department will make arrangement for prevention of Congo Virus, But district government did not follow it.
It has been learnt that the temporary sale points along the roadsides and in populated areas of the city are not only adding to the traffic problems but also causing public nuisance because of dung stink. The animal traders, belonging to different areas of the district including tribal area have set up these illegal sale points in violation of laws under the nose of town administrations particularly in front of TMA Office DG Khan and without any fear.
These traders have set up sale points illegally on both sides of Quaid-i-Azam Road, Pakistani chowk, Ghanta Ghar, Chowk Churatta, Pull Dat, Gaddai and Jampur road. An animal mobile vendor from Jampur, Ghulam Rasool told Pakistan Observer that the TMA officials were being paid for this illegal sale spot near TMA Office in city.
Talking to Pakistan Observer, buyers complained the market lacked proper sanitation, toilets and drinkable water.
