IHC reserves judgment in plea against PTI’s gathering

Islamabad—The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday reserved judgment in a plea seeking orders for restraining Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) to hold a political gathering here at Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9 Park).
Justice Aamir Farooq of IHC heard the petition filed by Dr.Waheed Mehmood Khan, through his counsel Yasir Mehmood Chaudhry, praying that the Interior Ministry be directed to provide some other suitable place to the PTI to hold such gathering instead of Fatima Jinnah Park.
Yasir Chaudhry cited many superior courts verdicts to establish his case. Any gathering or sit-in at Fatima Jinnah Park would destroy its natural beauty, greenery, trees and grass, he added.—APP
