IHC adjourns hearing regarding addition of citizen’s name

Islamabad—Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday adjourned hearing of the case till December 19, regarding inclusion of a citizen’s name in fourth schedule by the Interior Ministry. Justice Mohsan Akhter Kiyani heard the case filed by Qari Sohail challenging addition of his name in the ministry’s fourth schedule list.
During the proceeding, the Interior Ministry’s official requested the court to grant time to submit comments on behalf of the resondent ministry. However, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, SSP and SHO Bhara Kahu Police Station submitted their reply before the court. The counsel for the petitioner Tariq Khan Marawat Advocate argued before the court that the ministry had added his client’s name in the fourth schedule list without any evidence.—APP
