IGP Sindh takes notice of banners displayed by miscreants

Karachi—The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, on Monday took serious notice of the banners and their contents displayed by miscreants in various parts of the metropolis.
A police spokesman said here that the IGP has directed Additional IG Karachi and all the DIGs for immediate removal of such banners and that action be taken against those who erected these banners.
The IGP said that the miscreants at the behest of their sponsors, were trying to create fear and ‘sabotage peace’ in the city as well as in the province.
Therefore, the police should immediately remove these banners and the wall chalking and ensure legal action against the miscreants, he directed.
The IGP further asked the people that in case of such banners, wall chalking and distribution of pamphlets, people should immediately inform the Madadgar 15 call centre, DIGs, SSPs, DSPs or nearest police stations.
The names of those providing such information would be kept secret, it was further pointed out. —APP
