IGP Sindh reviews security strategy for Census 2017

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, Monday chaired a meeting to review security strategy for the Census 2017.
A Sindh police spokesman said that the IGP also gave necessary instructions regarding the census. The meeting was attended by senior police officers.
A.D. Khawaja called for preparing a deployment plan for the security of the census staff as well as for the protection of the camp office pertaining to the census.
He directed the DIG Headquarters for ensuring coordination with Pakistan Army and local government. He also directed that an officer of DIG rank should be nominated as a focal person at the provincial level.
The IGP said that Rapid Response Force and Sindh Reserve Police platoon would work under the Quick Response Force for security measures within their designated areas.
A Central Command and Control Centre would be established at the Central Police Office (CPO).
