IGP Sindh hails CTD for Mehran Town raid, announces Rs1m prize

Inspector General Sindh Police A.D. Khwaja on Monday hailed team of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of police for saving the city from a major terror attack by arresting four terrorists of a banned outfit after an encounter and announced one Rs million prize for CTD team.
The CTD in a pre-dawn raid in Mehran Town neighborhood of the city killed one terrorist , arrested four and recovered arms and explosive materials. Talking to media persons AD Khwaja said that the arrested terrorists belonged to banned terrorist outfit, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Al-Aalami.
He hailed the CTD action a major success against terrorism and announced Rs10 lakh prize for the CTD team. The top cop said that terrorists sleeper cells existed in the city.
Regarding the raid, he said that the CTD team recovered huge cache of arms, explosives, materials used for making bombs and suicide vests.
