IGP orders strict security cover for anti-polio teams

Karachi—Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D Khuwaja has ordered to adopt special security measures for the ongoing anti-polio campaign.
He has directed the concerned officials to make extra ordinary measures on police range, districts and zonal levels, said a statement issued here on Tuesday.
The police chief has ordered for effective security measures in sensitive areas of the metropolis with strict monitoring under the supervision of SSPs. He also instructed for deployment of Police Commandos in sensitive union councils.
Khuwaja has also asked to provide bullet proof jackets to the personnel deployed on the security of anti-polio teams.
The IGP has ordered for strengthening the process of intelligence collection and to increase the random snap checking and police picketing on the entry and exit points of the city.—APP
