IGP for strict security in elections

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Amjad Javed Saleemi Wednesday said that the officials must utilize best of their capabilities for the peaceful, transparent, free and fair conduct of general election-2018.
He said the officials must ensure strict implementation of security strategy and code of conduct, according to a statement.
The local and provincial leadership of political parties must be informed about the SOPs, he said.
The police chief also ordered foolproof security arrangements for political gatherings, corner meetings and political leadership.
Amjad Javed Saleemi asked the officials to ensure prohibition of hate speeches etc. Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Amjad Javed Saleemi on Wednesday taking notice of media reports regarding alleged arrest of labour in false charges of drug peddling by Pirabad police station officials, has sought detailed inquiry into the matter from Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) West.
