IGP for reviewing security plan for city’s district east

Karachi—The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, has called for reviewing the security plan for Karachi’s District East.
In a statement here on Saturday he said that this became essential in the wake of firing incident in the city’s district east last night.
The IGP also called for enhancing police patrolling around mosques, Imambarghas and venues for the Majalis.
He directed that the SSPs and SHOs should ensure presence in their respective areas after six p.m.
The IGP further instructed that ban on pillion riding be made effective. —APP
