IGP for extraordinary security on ZAB death anniversary

Karachi—The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, has called for extra-ordinary and effective security on the occasion of the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto being observed on April 4.
A spokesman of the Sindh Police said in a statement here on Saturday that the IGP issued directives to the police that a security plan should be devised.
The IGP directed that such a plan should be on the level of police ranges in the province. He also instructed an overall effective security around Ghari Khuda Bux as well as the entry and exit points. It was stated that participation of people is expected from other provinces as well and as such there should be arrangements for picketing, searching and patrolling especially on the entry points in to Sindh.
The IGP Sindh instructed that surveillance and security arrangements should also be made on the highways of the province. He directed that bomb disposal squads be deployed for sweeping around the Ghari Kuda Bux graveyard and intelligence be enhanced as well.—APP
