IGP bans bathing in sea, one-wheeling, noisy silencers

Karachi—Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, has banned on one-wheeling, bathing in sea, and on noisy silencers under section 144 on the occasion of Independence Day on August 14.
He was reviewing Police’s contingency plan in connection with the Independence Day, said a spokesman for the Sindh Police here on Friday.
According to report, additional 950 officers and jawans from Training Centre Saeedabad, Training College Razzaqabad and Training College Shahdadpur have been put on the disposal of Karachi Police. The officers and jawans of RRF, SRP, and SSU would be put on alert on August 14.
Foolproof security arrangements would be made in and around Mazar-i-Quaid. SSPs and DSPs would be supervising the arrangements.—APP
