Peshawar—Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has awarded Swat police officials on excellent performance against kidnappers in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar Saturday.
As per details on 1st June some unknown persons kidnapped a three-year old minor child Hayan Ali s/o Sadaqat Ali residents of Saidu Sharif and demanded Rs.20 million for the safe recovery of the child.
A special team of Swat police was constituted with the effect to ensure recovery of the abductees. The police team accompanied with father of the abducted child raided in Abbottabad, Mansehra and Nowshera after receiving calls from there.
On that day the special team was busy in a raid in Nowshera on the mobile location when it received information through sources about the suspicious Alto Suzuki bearing registration No. Swat B-5818 heading to-wards Swat.
The police team, chased the said Alto Suzuki instantly and identify the child through his father in the laps of a woman sitting in front seat alongwith another man. The police arrested both woman and man identified as Taj Bibi and Abdul Mateen son of Turab resident of Logar Afghanistan presently Ghazi Kot Mansehra.
Addressing on the occasion the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the professional efforts put by the Swat special team for the safe recovery of the minor child and added that only the affected parents can better know the agony and tension of such incident.
On this occasion the IGP awarded Inspector Pir Said, Sub Inspector Aman Khan, SHO PS Rahim Abad Bahader Shah, Elite Constables Roshan Ali and constables Fazal Karim and Gohar with cash prizes and commendation certificates. Principal Staff Officer to IGP Muhammad Afzal was also present on this occasion.—APP
