IGP announces Rs200,000 cash prize for SHO, team

Karachi—Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh A.D. Khawaja, appreciating the good performance of the SHO Shershah Police Station and his team who took part in an encounter against dacoits, has announced Rs.200,000 cash prize for them.
A spokesman for Sindh Police, in a statement here on Wednesday, said that the IGP has directed the DIG West Zone to ensure good medical treatment to the ASI and constable wounded in the incident.
The spokesman said that the encounter took place near Kaka Hotel in Shershah. In the exchange of fire, one unidentified dacoit was killed, while his accomplice was arrested in injured condition.
In firing by dacoits ASI Ghulam Yaseen, son of Azam Khan, and constable Banaras, son of Rustam sustained injuries. They were shifted to Civil Hospital.
