If govt bound to accept Opp ToRs then why the committee: Rashid

Lahore—Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that if government had to accept the terms of reference of opposition then what was the need to set up parliamentary committee.
Talking to media persons after addressing a ceremony here he said that if Imran will come on the roads then it will reflect that he could not gain power through masses consent and wants to capture Islamabad through force.
He said if Imran could not secure majority for his party through votes then he wants to secure power through force and chaos, adding that through this process country could face loss, adding that the terrorists could take benefit from the situation of chaos.
He said country needs peace, adding that the direction of media is right.
Pervaiz Rashid said that the government was going to announce the wage board award but there is hurdle that the owners of the newspapers have not nominated their representatives so far.
He said that there should be some procedure for joining the journalism, adding that a man becomes journalist first and later on he becomes member of supreme club, adding that the man should first become the member of the press club and later on he should become the journalist.
He said being the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif remains in contact with many important institutions of the state. He said that peace in country and improvement in economy of the country is being witnessed due to the wise and able leadership of prime minister.
Earlier addressing a seminar Rashid said that operation Zarb-e- Azb has broken the backbone of terrorists and now we need ideological Zarb-e-Azb, for elimination of the extremist way of thinking.
He said sectarianism has badly affected our society and we will have to give the next generation a brighter Pakistan.
He said peace in society can only be achieved through changing our way of thinking and harmony can be created in society through debates, discussions and dialogues.
The Minister said the mass communications can play an effective role in stability of the democratic system. He said the country is encountering a worse challenge of terrorism and extremism, which is totally unfamiliar with our culture and civilization. Pervaiz Rashid urged journalists to play their due role for peace in society. He said journalism is the mirror of whole society and it should be transparent. The Minister said, “We will have to form a society, which is clear of all biases. He said that journalism can play its role in bringing harmony in the society.
