IDPs’ return strategy changed due to snowfall

Strategy of return of displaced people of North Waziristan Agency from Khost province of Afghanistan has been changed due to heavy snowfall on the return routes.
Assistant Political Agent Muhammad Anwar Khan Sherani said the repatriation of displaced people from Khost to North Waziristan has not been stopped and only the procedure has been changed to facilitate the returning families, reported a private news channel.
He said the previous plan of bringing 200 families on daily basis has been changed. He said only 685 displaced families have reached Bakakhel camp in North Waziristan in the first phase of repatriation due to bad weather and other problems.—APP
