ICT admn constitutes teams to ensure wages to workers

Islamabad—The Labour Department Islamabad has constituted four survey teams in Islamabad Capital Territory for carrying out survey of all industrial units and private companies in order to ensure payment of minimum wages of Rs 14000 per month to the workers.
According to details, Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Zulfiqar Haider has directed, Director, Labour, ICT to ensure payment of wages as per law in Islamabad Capital Territory.
In this regard, the district administration has set up a Helpline in the office of Director Labour, ICT, for redressal of complaints of the workers relating to less payment of wages in contravention of law.
The labour Department Islamabad has directed all the industrial units and private companies in Islamabad to ensure strict compliance of payment of wages to their workers at the rate of Rs 14,000 per month failing which stern action shall be taken against the violators. The aggrieved person may also file case in the court of concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate for redressal of the grievances.—APP
